Learn more about Miyamoto Musashi, burdened with powers he never asked for, and others he will meet on his journey, in the latest trailer for Onimusha: Way of the Sword.
Miyamoto Musashi Sets Forth, Burdened with the Power of the Oni
Miyamoto Musashi arrives in Kyoto determined to take the next steps to master the way of the sword, and prove himself a warrior without equal. However, upon his arrival he is attacked by the Genma. Only after being granted an Oni Gauntlet and its power, does Musashi find himself able to stand against the fiends. This troubles Musashi, as to him the way of the sword is traversed on one's own strength alone.
But how can he rid himself of the Oni Gauntlet? Musashi's journey will take him on a bloody and meandering path through early Edo-period Kyoto.
Introducing Others Musashi Will Meet, and a New Genma Variant
Oni Lady (Voice: Yuriri Naka)
A female Oni housed in Musashi's Oni Gauntlet. While she usually supports Musashi from within the gauntlet, she can also appear before him when the need arises.
Ono no Takamura (Voice: Shogo Miyakita)
An individual that Musashi comes to meet through the guidance of the voice in his gauntlet. A highly skilled swordsman, he can vanquish Genma with ease despite his old age. He also appears to have an Oni Gauntlet, much like Musashi and Ganryu...
Izumo no Okuni (Voice: Leader Looi)
A young dancer who, due to certain circumstances, comes to Ono no Takamura seeking the power to defeat the Genma. While her Kabuki dance has brought her fame within the city, other priorities are keeping her from the stage of late.
Togemaru
A Genma with large spikes running down its back. They charge forward, spinning or rolling at great speeds, to shred anyone unfortunate enough to remain in their path.
Another Location Revealed
We briefly see Ono no Takamura standing over Musashi, with what appears to be giant painted screens depicting hell looming in the background. What is the significance of this mysterious place?
