Musashi's campaign to cleanse the capital has piqued the interest of an old acquaintance of Ono no Takamura. Curious, he heads to Yasaka Shrine to meet the woman, whom Takamura warns is an "odd one..."

After clearing
Musashi meets Lady Murasaki, and learns that she means to continue collecting stories, even in the afterlife. She then tells him of a Genma at Nijo-jo Castle. Lacking a way into the sprawling fortress, he is told to enlist the help of Izumo no Okuni.
