Musashi hears from a boy he previously helped at Rendaino that the surviving followers of the Yoshioka school are using hanging monkeys to pray for his downfall. Recognizing that he must finish what he started, Musashi sees no other option but a final showdown.

Kukuri-zaru, or hanging monkeys, are colorful charms that are said to resemble monkeys with their arms and legs bound above their heads.
When making a wish on a hanging monkey, you must renounce a desire of equal import. Only then will the wish you made be granted.
Naturally, the greater the wish, the greater the desire you must renounce in return, which is why it is recommended that those who wish upon a hanging monkey think long and hard about their capacity for self-control.
In his showdown with the surviving followers of the Yoshioka school, Musashi discovers that Dokyo has exploited their desire for vengeance, transforming them into a mob of raving Genma. Though Musashi triumphs, he is left with the nagging feeling that his victory was a hollow one...
